Jason Isaacs, who portrays Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, is becoming more like his character he says. In an effort to remain in character he avoids answering his fan mail, he also comments that he’s enjoyed playing Lucius and that he hopes that he will be in the next movie and that author Rowling continues to write Harry Potter books for years to come.
I'm carefully cultivating an entire generation of people who despise me, because when you're in 'Harry Potter' films you get a lot of fan mail... I haven't answered any of it, so they will hate me even more than they did to start with. They probably spent their pocket money sending me a stamped, addressed envelope. Number four is finished. I'm not signed up for number five; I haven't got a script for [it] yet, but I understand I have some things to do in the book and, if they ask me, then I would be hoping to be in it. Because that is good fun, it's ridiculously good fun to dress up as a wizard ... I hope that [JK Rowling] writes it until Harry Potter is 65 years old and on a walking frame.

What a great sense of humor. He's such a great villian. I really enjoy hating him as Lucius Malfoy - and I hope the movie folks are smart enough to cast him again. He's one of the few castings I think is truly on character. (They lost it with Malfoy last time when they let his hair go.)

I love that he's so obviously enjoying playing the bad guy. It's great that he's using his energy to make Malfoy as bad - and therefore as good - as he can. Who cares about the fan mail when we can glory in his evil-ness on screen instead.

What a great sense of humor Jason Isaacs has. He certainly is getting into his role as the evil Lucius Malfoy. More power to him for his honesty. If he weren't so good looking, it would be easier to dislike him in the same sense that I feel about Lucius.

I see some people think it's rude that he doesn't answer fan mail, but that's exactly what he wants you to feel now isn't it. He'll probably get to answering his mail after the movie. I just love Jason Issacs, he was good as Captain Hook and he's the only person I could see playing Lucius Malfroy.

In my opinion, Jason Isaacs has portrayed Lucius to the T. Having only begun reading the Potter books after the third movie came out, I believe that Jason has made Lucius as bitter and deceitful as Rowling imagined him to be.
