Book Wholesalers, Inc., a book supplier to U.S. public libraries, has posted
a small report on their recently received shipment of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince including a tiny picture of the backside jacket.
If you're trying to stay spoiler-free, you might want to pass on this one although it's difficult to see any detail.

The Dark Mark is over Hogwarts, and there are a lot more people standing Behind Ron, Hermonie, and Ginny. You can just see there shadows, but you can not see any details of them. Except for the boy behind Ron that I think is Neville.
Oh and by the way holla4hp, MARK EVENS IS A NOBODY! JKR has alread said that she wasn't thinking when she used the surname of Evens for that boy. So he is not the HBP.

Well, I think that no one conjured the dark mark, and I think that it is in the cover to symbolize that Hogwarts isn't a safe place anymore. I also think that ron, hermione, ginny and the others ( maybe the girl next to ron is cho?) are watching harry and dumbledore, and not the dark mark...
