The New York Post has asked us to find 20 super-fast readers who can finish Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by 2 p.m. Saturday and provide their take on the tome.
Reviewers will get their thoughts printed along with a photo! Kids and teens are encouraged to participate but they will also accept adult reviews. The bottom line: you must live in the New York City area and you must read the book start to finish by 2 p.m. Saturday.
Contact Angela Montefinise at (212) 930-8568 or amontefinise@nypost.com for details and to volunteer.

Read over 600 pages in 2 hours, prefferable kids or teens. Not asking a lot at all are they. I though I wouldn't mind being in the paper (if only I didn't live on the other side of the country).

Holy Crap! 2PM? I probably won't even have my book by then. Boy, it will take a lot of coffee and a new york address. Good luck and best wishes to those of you who can do it.

Oh man! I wish I lived in New York City... I think I could possibly make that deadline! I think if I had gotten OotP at midnight last time then I would have finished a lot faster than I did...

Very cool! Reading that fast takes the fun out of the book! It is like a fine wine, or a rich desert. You need to take your time ans savor every moment!

Wow! That's way too fast for me. I barely have time to do other things with my 4 children. I don't like to rush through reading things like this that I enjoy anyway.

Awww, that sucks. New York is so far away!!! No, I don't want to read the upcoming book as the NY Post wants. I want to linger it and read it for as long as I can because I don't want to miss any important detail, and also because, the 7th book won't be coming for at least 2 or 3 years!!!! CAn't wait!!!

I always try not to read the book so fast the first time, so that definitely isn't for me. Besides, I live in Chicago. I'm sure someone here on HPANA from NY could do it...

I don't think staying up all night and reading is very healthy. Plus if you rush you can't enjoy you book. Slow down and take it all in. And if you do get done that fast, nobody wants to hear what you have to say. Incase you say somthing we don't want to hear.

Dude, I would just read it as long as it takes me. What do I care about reviews? I assume the first person to call the NY Times will win a prize or get recognized by the Guiness World of Records for fastest reader or might as well the reader is just a spoiler who has the book already.

Considering the pop of New York surely it won't be too hard to find 20 people who can do it. It does kind of suck that they have to live IN NYC.

Wow! Less than 12 hours? Can readers fully digest the story in that short span of time? Even though I want to finish HBP quickly, I want to be able to fully enjoy the story.
