Frances de la Tour
, Mme. Maxime in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire recently spoke about the movie while on the set of The History Boys in England.
She discusses her romance, the difficulty working with green screen, her hopes of returning to the series and the difference working on a big budget movie.
Frances on romance:
She's a French giantess - or half giantess, so of course when she meets Hagrid, they are both half giants, so there's a frisson. There's a lot of romance (in the film). They fall in love, and then, it's really lovely. Hagrid is... again you see a tenderness in him... it's lovely, really lovely to do.

wow these interviews just make me even more envious of the chicago screeners. i am so thrilled to see somebody talented and well spoken on the set! i am sure she did a wonderful job, because she really seems to care deeply about the emotional environment of her character. i hope madame maxime isn't a total softy though, she's supposed to have a little bit of bite to her.

Awww... she actually is NOT what I pictured Madame Maxime to look like at all, but she just about nailed it in explaining the romance between Maxime and Hagrid. And I'm assuming those blue people below her are the Beauxbatons, but they do not look what I imagined in my head either.
