Music composer Patrick Doyle
, who is currently working on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire comments on being lucky to be chosen to score the movie, the amount of work it has been, his favorite scores and his battle with leukemia.
Doyle on working on the score:
You have to be at the top of your game all the time to keep on top of it. I read the script before they started shooting. My involvement has gone on for a year, and I've written zillions of themes for it. People who have read the book will know that it is very dense in terms of its storyline, and all of the imagery is very big.
Doyle has previously worked with director Mike Newell
on Donnie Brasco and Into the West and will start work on Eragon next year.

He has already proven himself with the trailer music, I wonder what's in store for the movie. He'll never beat John Williams though.

I never really pay attention to the music consciously, but when a score is done right I begin to associate it with the film. It complements rather than dominates. So, no, while Doyle might not be another John Williams, I think he does "right" by the films. (And Newell's no Lucas or Spielberg.)

I love the music in all of the movies. A good composer can really enhance a movie. I loved the music in movies like Star Wars, and HP is almost on the same level. Good job Doyle.
