Music composer Patrick Doyle
, who is currently working on Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire comments on being lucky to be chosen to score the movie, the amount of work it has been, his favorite scores and his battle with leukemia.
Doyle on working on the score:
You have to be at the top of your game all the time to keep on top of it. I read the script before they started shooting. My involvement has gone on for a year, and I've written zillions of themes for it. People who have read the book will know that it is very dense in terms of its storyline, and all of the imagery is very big.
Doyle has previously worked with director Mike Newell on Donnie Brasco and Into the West and will start work on Eragon next year.

I love music in any form, and music in movies can make the whole difference between cheesy moments and really touching moments. I'm sure Doyle will do a great job, its the fourth film, they must know what they're doing by now...

He deffinately is lucky to get the job of scoring for this film, harry potter is a huge job to do. I hope he produces music to the high standard of the other films, the music for POA inparticularly was very good.And...hes doing ERAGON too! YES! Ooh i cant wait! I know im going to love this guy already! :D

After watching some of the trialers, Doyle did a very awesome work. The Goblet of Fire will be far the most best movie EVER. And this is the movie I was dying for, I read the GoF book more than one hundred times and I am lovin' it. And the story is thrilling that we have about two months to wait till the movie comes out.

To those who mentioned it seemed to be late to be finishing the music - when PS/SS was in the works, I talked to John Williams in May and he hadn't even STARTED the music yet, and that one was released in November as well. You'd be surprised how quickly musicians can work, not to mention Williams at least is an utter genius at getting the music to sync with the film - usually no more than two takes. :-) Hope this new guy measures up...
