While Christopher Paolini's second novel, Eldest
, may have knocked Harry Potter down a notch on Amazon.com's bestseller list, Scholastic is ramping up to offer a boxed set of all six Potter books to date.
A new image of the set is available at Amazon:
It will cost about $100 and include hardcover editions packaged in an artwork-covered case. Amazon says it will be available October 1, as we reported in June.

Very tempting... but I think I will refrain from ordering until the seventh book is released. I am assuming that these are the American, rather than the British, version of the books. I hope they release the latter as a complete set, as well!
I wonder how many people will not be able to resist? It might make a nice gift, for those who have not yet experienced the magic of HP.

So I didn't actually buy the books when the first came out. I got into the series after book 5 was out. And I borrowed the books to read before. This summer I basically bought the entire set one by one. (Bought 6 when it first came out). So I spent about 100 more than the set costs. And now all I need is 7. I will more than likely buy the boxed set when the series is done, even though I will already own every hardback book. Meh it's all good when it comes to HP!
