In a new interview
with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe by fan site DanRadcliffe.co.uk, Dan discusses playing Harry, what he’s looking forward to filming in Order of the Phoenix (yes he is returning), his thoughts on the last book, Goblet of Fire filming, Mike Newell, driving and so much more. The interview also includes a new picture of Dan.
Part of the Q&A:
DR.co.uk: Based on having read the book then, are you looking forward to filming any scenes in Order of the Phoenix? You've sort of openly admitted that you're going to be back for that film, even though it hasn't really officially been announced yet.
Dan: No, I mean I'm going to do the fifth one definitely, which scene, I'm looking forward to all the scenes with Neville, because they are I think very sort of sweet and very important really because, you know, obviously in the fifth, we learn about the connection between Harry and Neville, and I just think it's a very important part and also because the guy who plays Neville, Matt Lewis, is just so fantastic. I'm really looking forward to doing some big acting scenes with him, because now we've not got a chance to do sort of any really substantial big scenes together which would be really good. I'm also looking forward to all the stuff with Sirius and the final scene with Dumbledore as well are the ones I'm sort of really looking forward to.
DR.co.uk: You're fast approaching driving age, have you taken any driving lessons yet, or learned to drive? Got any plans for a car soon?
Dan: I just want to get a normal car that gets me from one place to the other, because I don't know if I'll be safe behind the wheel of a fast car, and also because my dad tends to be the worst driver in the world! And he actually now doesn't drive at all so hopefully it will balance out. I'll be an okay driver, because my dad's the worst driver, and my mom is a fantastic driver, so hopefully I'll be somewhere in the middle, but I'm a bit nervous about it. I mean, you have to also, you have to learn how to drive, because if you get it wrong, and you can't drive a car, then it becomes a problem, I don't know how I'm going to do, but I'll let you know.

That's good. Dan is doing to fifth movie. I hope Emma and Rupert do the movie too, what would a HP movie be without Emma and Rupert, it would be crap. Dan sounds like such an amazing guy. He is just simply amazing.

Yay, he still wants to stay! I hope none of the cast will want to leave, but you never know. It would be amazing to keep the same cast over the rest of the films, I think that would be some kind of record.

Yeah! Info about Neville! I just love that character! One of the most imp in the books if you ask me! On a side note, I am also glad that he has agreed to stay. Because it would just really bomb if Harry had to be played by someone else!

Dan wants to do all 7 which I think is excellent because then there can be less fandom with a movie if a new actor replaces an old on e in a series. I hope Rupert and Emma also stay. I thought the interview was awesome though. I think it is neat they are adding a few extra scenes that weren,t in the book. I think this will fill it with more suspense. Plus, it sounds like already that Dan is going to make the Neville scenes in Order of the Phoenix interesting.

Thank god for that. I mean, I knew that Dan would be back for the fifth film but it's nice for it to be confirmed by Dan himself.
I'm looking forward to the scene at the end with Dumbeldore too, that'll be a good one. But lets not get too excited, we've still got the fourth film to see first.

His dad's a terrible driver! That's funny but not hard to believe. Plenty of guys are bad drivers. Hopefully he'll be a good driver for the sake of him not getting into an accident and killing himself. Because that would suck. Especially for him.

I'm really glad that Dan is coming back for the fifth movie, I hope he'll do them all. I think he makes a wonderful HP, and although I didn't like him at first, I doubt the rest of the movies would be the same without him.

It's totally great, i really do hope Daniel, Emma and Rupert and everybody else will play in all the Harry Potter movies, because Harry Potter without them, isn't really Harry Potter. And yes, i think this book really showed Neville's qualities, and still, the death of Sirius really left me stunned. Now i am asking... why on Earth Harry didn't open that package, containing the mirror, earlier!? This way Sirius could be still alive.. :((

I love that Dan is still so humble. I also credit him for wanting to continue to improve his acting and learn from the legendary actors that he has the opportunity to work with on the films. I see a long, successful career in his future (including OotP, HBP, & #7!)
