, Imelda Staunton has been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix movie. The Academy Award-nominated actress is reportedly going to portray Dolores Umbridge, a new professor sent to spy on Professor Dumbledore and to control Hogwarts school.
However, no official word has been released by Warner Brothers.

I looked at some pictures of her, and I think that her face could definitely look the part...now all they have to do is get her to be short and fat....if they can do that, I'm totally happy with their choice to cast her! :)

Hmmmm... this woman looks too nice to be Delores.
I wanted them to cast someone who is disturbing, disgusting and a total waste of humanity for the role... I don't see that with her... even with a whole mess of make-up and a totally screwed up hairstyle sporting a tiny pink bow wouldn't turn this woman in to how I envisioned Delores to look. (oddly enough, in my mind she looked remarkably like one of my second grade teachers who I utterly detested!)
I think that along with what I have seen of the person playing Rita Skeeter, this woman playing Ubridge is the biggest mistake of the movies so far...

Staunton looks to pretty to be Dolores Umbridge.... Maybe they can make her look like an old toad with lots of make-up. Staunton would play the role of umbridge very well, but we won't find out for a while will we? I can't wait until OoTP comes out! But then again I can't wait until GOF comes out!

Moreover she has quite the look for that; I should give the hint to Warner Bros. As to Imelda Staunton I think they'll have a lot of work if they really want her to look like Umbridge.
