Source: 'Goblet of Fire' 157 minutes long Popular (7775)

According to an extremely reliable source, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will have a running time of 157 minutes, making it the second longest film in the series of Warner Bros. adaptations of JK Rowling's books. The second movie, at 161 minutes, is the longest.

We're awaiting confirmation from Warner Bros.

UPDATE: WB cannot confirm the running time at present, but The Leaky Cauldron is also reportingopens in new window they've received tips that the film will be 160 minutes.

UPDATE #2: According to another tipster, the film is "2 hours 34 minutes and 38 seconds or 154 minutes and 38 secs... from the first glimpse of the movie until the last frame (WB logo)." Presumably, that figure is based on an advanced cut of the movie.

It's actually shorter than I expected considering the book is over 600 pages long where I come from. But 157 minutes is still long. No worries, I'm still going to watch it.

Well, it wouldn't surprise me if the Goblet of Fire was to be the longest of all the series so far. The book is the thickest out of the four, and should be made longer to capture most of the important moments of the book. The SPEW thing didn't have to be included, but it could still have been made a little longer to entertain the audience a little more.

Well I'm glad that they are at least making it as long as the other movies, but I still think they should have made it longer. Can't wait to see what they've come up with.

CRAZY long, but how can it be shorter than CoS? GoF has so many things happening in it, and the book is twice as long as the second!

Good, i like long movies and i like harry potter, so mix them together and *wham* great movie. And also i think the 3rd movie was suffering from time 'cause it didn't make sence to the rest of my family and i had to explain it, 'cause i was the only one who read the book.

I'm so happy that there is a longer movie! That rocks because I thought that they were going to take out some key scenes. I just hope that most of them are genuinely from the book. I like the new scenes, I just don't want them to take out the old ones to put the new ones in.

Nice. I wish they would have done a 3 hour one though. This one's PG-13 so there's no need to worry about them sitting through it.
