According to an extremely reliable source, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will have a running time of 157 minutes, making it the second longest film in the series of Warner Bros. adaptations of JK Rowling's books. The second movie, at 161 minutes, is the longest.
We're awaiting confirmation from Warner Bros.
UPDATE: WB cannot confirm the running time at present, but The Leaky Cauldron is also reporting
they've received tips that the film will be 160 minutes.
UPDATE #2: According to another tipster, the film is "2 hours 34 minutes and 38 seconds or 154 minutes and 38 secs... from the first glimpse of the movie until the last frame (WB logo)." Presumably, that figure is based on an advanced cut of the movie.

Well it had definately better be long.. there is so much important and dramatic stuff in this movie. The less that is left out the better.

Geez...if Chamber of Secrets was longer, that means a bunch of stuff was cut out of THIS movie...I'm disappointed, but I guess it's still long enough =/
I hope they put a lot of deleted scenes on the DVD!!

GR! It should be longer! After all, "Chamber of Secret" was longer! How can that be? There is so much action in this one, the most detail, and there is so much more than Chamber of Secrets! I think it should be like the Lord of the Rings series, they should have it as long as that! It would give more detail to the story line and the movie will be better! Longer the better!

I'd rather GoF be longer. Chamber of Secrets hardly seemed like it was that long, so I know I wouldn't mind.

I am so happy that Lucius will be in this movie!! I was dissapointed that he wasn't in the last but he really wasn't mentioned. I hope his part is bigger and i hope the have the Quidditch world cup in this movie. the prisoner of Azkaban left out so much detail I was a little disappointed. I hope this movie does not suffer like that one. Although the dementors really scared me for I have seen the real thing when I was a teen

well if you ask me, the longer the film the better. But they added the credits , so it'll most liely be shorter than it is said to be.

*whew* I knew the film would get the "under 3 hours" treatment for sure, but I'm glad it's well over two hours. Of course, I can't imagine any of us here complaining "Ohhhh, I have to suffer through this film for how long?!" as I know we'd all have liked it to be longer (or split into two films, of course!)
