According to an extremely reliable source, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will have a running time of 157 minutes, making it the second longest film in the series of Warner Bros. adaptations of JK Rowling's books. The second movie, at 161 minutes, is the longest.
We're awaiting confirmation from Warner Bros.
UPDATE: WB cannot confirm the running time at present, but The Leaky Cauldron is also reporting
they've received tips that the film will be 160 minutes.
UPDATE #2: According to another tipster, the film is "2 hours 34 minutes and 38 seconds or 154 minutes and 38 secs... from the first glimpse of the movie until the last frame (WB logo)." Presumably, that figure is based on an advanced cut of the movie.

The longer the better. Three hours or more whould be great. Imagine what they could put in with a four hour movie. Oh well, we can dream.

2.5 hours is about right. I think kids might get a bit restless if it were any longer. Of course, I'm sure none of us will want it to end at all:)

That is perfectly the right length for the movie, 2 and a half hours sounds great. at least it will be longer then the third, which was disapointing.

That is so good to hear! The movie really needs to be this long if they want to do any justice to the book, and even with that, there are so many important things that are still left out.

I think it should be longer. I wouldnt mind seeing a two and half hour film if they had an intermission during it. A lot of old films used to do that.

Well that's better than the disappointing Prisoner of Azkaban, but this book a lot bigger than Chamber of Secrets. I still want all Harry Potter films to be 3 to 4 hours long.

The book was long so the movie will have to be to get enough of the information in. I wonder if the next movie is a consideration when trying to decide what to leave out?
