According to an extremely reliable source, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will have a running time of 157 minutes, making it the second longest film in the series of Warner Bros. adaptations of JK Rowling's books. The second movie, at 161 minutes, is the longest.
We're awaiting confirmation from Warner Bros.
UPDATE: WB cannot confirm the running time at present, but The Leaky Cauldron is also reporting
they've received tips that the film will be 160 minutes.
UPDATE #2: According to another tipster, the film is "2 hours 34 minutes and 38 seconds or 154 minutes and 38 secs... from the first glimpse of the movie until the last frame (WB logo)." Presumably, that figure is based on an advanced cut of the movie.

I heard they are keeping a lot out. It would had been much longer apparently if they hadn't cut scenes off the book out. I've sat much longer for movies-

Well, I think it could still be longer in my opinion...
I really want them to do extended versions like the LOTR films...but I am sure they won't do that.

Awesome! I was hoping that it was going to be longer than two hours. I think it needs to be that longer or maybe even longer to address all the tasks and the final part with Voldemort. I still can't wait!

Hey thats way better than Poa, it felt like I had just sat down then it was over!! So I am really excited that this movie is longer! I still would have perfered it to be like 3 hours, I need to stop comparing it to LOTR's!!!! Well I hope WB confirms this!!

This is good information but its WRONG! Even thought this is 157 minutes running time, it is not the longest in the series so far. CoS is 161 miutes so the 'reliable' source is incorrect. I am glad, however, that this film is longer than PoA considering the book is larger, but i think each movie should be longer as each book gets larger.

I wonder who this 'extremely reliable source' is.
Either way, a 3 hr movie is definately welcome over a 2.5 hr one.

COOL! I would have liked it if they made two parts of it (they could also earn twice as much money, the silly guys...) but I'm glad it will be the longest. But, you know it well, Potter-fans can't get enough of Potter. Just can't.

There is no way that they could do that book justice if it was short. I am glad that they made it longer. I think they could have kept more stuff in and made it a little longer. I am sure no body would have mind.

157 minutes isn't too bad.... 2 hours and 37 minute movie could have been stretched to 3. Anyways I can't wait for this movie, and I would sit in a movie theater if the movie was 4 hours long... It's HP! 37 days left for GoF!

Good. I think that it needs to be that long. Especially if they are adding in stuff like the dancing lessons. They are going to need that extra time to cover everything that is necessary. =)
