According to an extremely reliable source, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will have a running time of 157 minutes, making it the second longest film in the series of Warner Bros. adaptations of JK Rowling's books. The second movie, at 161 minutes, is the longest.
We're awaiting confirmation from Warner Bros.
UPDATE: WB cannot confirm the running time at present, but The Leaky Cauldron is also reporting
they've received tips that the film will be 160 minutes.
UPDATE #2: According to another tipster, the film is "2 hours 34 minutes and 38 seconds or 154 minutes and 38 secs... from the first glimpse of the movie until the last frame (WB logo)." Presumably, that figure is based on an advanced cut of the movie.

Well I'm not upset at the time and i'm not impresed. This book is longer that CoS and the movie should have been longer as well. I would have loved to see the movie as at least three hours so it could cover all the important parts. oh well i guess we'll have to wait and see how it turns out.

mmmmmmmmm thats not that long. i was expecting closer to three hours. I hope i wont be disapointed because it says something about how the second movie was longer than the fourth is, being how the fourth book is the longest book and the second book is pretty short. but im gonna see it cus it looks soo good.

I'm defintely glad it's longer than Prisoner of Azkaban...I still wish it was a bit longer because those numbers count the credits! It's a long book, and with all the tasks and the ball, it should be long.

It's good to hear that the movie its not going to be short...it will give the book justice of all the great things that have to be explained!!! I would have been being worried if it was any shorter...

Ok, What do they mean by 'extremely reliable source"? I hope that Warner Brothers will soon confirm this rumor! I think that it is so great that Goblet of Fire is the longest movie of the series so far.I mean, afterall, Goblet of fire is longer than the first three books by far. I hope that Order of the Phoenix will be even longer than Goblet of Fire. I can't wait to see the new movie on November 18!

I loved the fact that COS was almost 3 hours long. Give us three hours or more. COS was long, but it didn't seem that way. It flowed and kept your attention.

That would be almost 3 hours! That is not even compared to how long it should be if all the beggining scenes were in there but it's a movie none-the-less.

At least we get a ballpark figure. I'm not that worried about the running time, however. As long as it's a good movie I don't care how long it is.

I want more. All I know is that it better not be choppy. It seems like it is long enough to flow well and get the gist of the story across. I can't wait for November 18th.
