Tabloids love exploiting (and paraphrasing and exaggerating) quotes about celebrities to hype up stories and increase readership. Doing so about Harry Potter isn't new, and the Daily Record hit a home run yesterday by claiming
star Daniel Radcliffe is "dreading his naked screen debut" in November's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
Jenna from DanRadcliffe.com, from whose interview
the Daily Record lifted quotes and based their story, tells it straight:
Just to clarify this mess they've created - At no time was Dan naked or did he say he was for the Prefect's Bath scene. They took a quote from my article and turned it into something it's not.
Not only did they lift quotes from my interview without permission, they did so without giving credit as if it were their own interview... and then took it and twisted it. Yet another reason why none of you should ever put any trust into anything you read in one of these tabloid rubbish liners.
Well said, Jenna.

Stupid topic. Why should he be naked for that scene? Anyway, I find it ridiculuous, that teen girls would scream to see Dan naked.. Come on.. :S

Tabloids...if they can't find a story they will make up lies about anything. The HP books would never have nudity in them because they are childrens books and the movies wouldn't have nudity in them either.

I hate the tabloids, there just out there to make most celebrity's lives a misery. It dosen't really matter whether he was or wasn't and it would totally be up to Dan too,i mean he's only 16 but i am a little dissapointed that they were lying.

That's really sad how tabloids love to exploit people. Can't they just leave them alone?? Besides, in hollywood, they only way you might be truly 'naked' is if that part of you is actually going to be shown naked on the big screen. Otherwise, there are many cover up tricks that they use!!

Oh god, do you know how funny that is?? It's hilarious! I was really hoping that Dan wouldnt be naked for that seen, so its good to know that he wasnt. But really, a 16 year old naked in a PG 13 movie? They would have to rate it R if that was true. It's still hilarious, though.

What I don't understand is how some people can actually pick to write stories like that as a career? Do they get some kind of pleasure out of embarassing people and making them miserable? That's HORRIBLE!

Aw, what's the harm in thinking he's naked? It is a bath scene after all. Aren't we supposed to think he's naked? True, tabloids print anything. They shouldn't have stolen and twisted her article. That's wrong.
