Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has a running time of 156 minutes and 54 seconds, according to the British Board of Film Classification
. That's a mere six seconds shy of what we reported earlier this month based on a reliable source (who apparently rounded up).
Veritaserum reports
that the final 13 minutes, which contain the film's credits, are worth sitting through to get some extra laughs.
This length makes it the second longest Potter film after Chamber of Secrets, which clocked in at 161 minutes, even though the book is twice as long.
The BBFC recently rated Goblet of Fire 12A, meaning no one under 12 years old may see the movie without an accompanying adult. The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) rated the film PG-13 in the U.S. which places kids under 13 under the same restriction.

Thats good! I am glad they made it so long because the longer the movie the less of the book they have to cut!

I don't see why they just couldn't make it a 4 hour movie! I would watch it! I mean you can throw in an intermission. Oh, well! It still looks like an excellent movie! And thanks to Veritaserum I might actually stay through the credits for once!
I cannot wait for this movie!

Yay, I love that this movie is somewhat longer. And the credits sound amazing, I'm going to sit through them. I did for Prisoner of Azkaban, and my friends and I ended up being the last people in the theater. Good times, good times ...

I know some people may say that 2hrs. 36min. and 54sec. so long, even for harry potter, but, I think, that that amount of time is perfect! I've already bought my tix for Nov.18, regular screening, and Imax version at movietickets.com! yay!

Great, but still doesn't seem like it could be long enough. Three hours would have been a good start, but hey, they did the best they could!

Bloopers in the credits? Cool! I still don't see how they managed to condense the book so much- how many chapters did they miss out? I didn't read the synopsis so I don't know at the minute. But I will soon find out! Ha Ha Ha!!!

The movie's shorter than I thought because if you compare the size of the first few books to the fourth one, it is much much much much longer. It's more like the size of all three of them put together. Anyways, at least the movie's just action from one scene to the next - it will keep the audience entertained.

It is much shorter then I thought it would be considering that there were rumors that the movie possible would be two full length pictures. 2 1/2 hours will have to do I suppose as the last 13 min of the movie is rolling credits.

That seems like a decent length, although I did like how PoA was shorter than the others. 13 minutes of credits!!! That's crazy! I was planning on staying through them anyway, but it's good to know that my patience will be rewarded!

Now I know they cut way too much out of the movie. As it was said, the book is twice as long, so why would Chamber of Secrets be longer? It makes no sense.

I think it should be longer than Chamber of Secrets. I mean it is the second longest book. It seems like they have cut out too much. Oh well, it will still be good!
