With Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire just hitting movie theatres this weekend, a report from VideoETA.com, states that the DVD will be released on April 4, 2006.
During the New York premiere, Mike Newell said that there is about 15 minutes from the movie that may be added to the DVD as well as a director's commentary.
It is not unusual for a DVD to be released 5 months after the movie has hit screens, but as of now this information needs to be confirmed by Warner Bros., and as soon as we hear officially that this is the date, we will inform everyone.

That would really be excellent. Although I've got to say, I REALLY wish they'd make extended versions on DVD for the REAL fans like they did with LOTR. Why doesn't anyone seem to get it that we want MORE and would be more than willing to pay for it and sit through a 4 or 5 hour movie???

It feels like the amount of time between release dates for the books, movies, and DVD's just gets longer and longer. I can't wait to buy GoF on DVD, but did y'all know we all have to wait until JUNE 2007 for Order of the Phoenix according to IMDB
I don't know if I can wait that long :-(

They better add some more footage to the DVD I mean even some of the 'early clips' we saw didn't make it into the movie, it felt like the whole thing swas rushed....don't get me wrong...I loved the movie, I've seen in 4 times already but I wished there were a little bit of segway between scenes...ya know?
