We recently
told you that Harry Potter author JK Rowling and British narrator Stephen Fry would be conducting an interview for UK radio station BBC4's Living with Harry Potter, discussing all things Potter. Now the print edition of the Radio Times
has some excerpts from the program:
Fry: Is it really true that you've got it [the end of the story] all planned out?
Rowling: Yes, I do know what's going to happen in the end. And occasionally I get cold shivers when someone guesses at something that's very close, and then I panic and I think "Oh, is it very obvious?" and then someone says something that's so off the wall that I think "No, it's clearly not that obvious!"
So much that happens in [book] six relates to what happens in [book] seven. In six, although there is an ending that could be seen as definitive in one sense, you very strongly feel the plot is not over this time and it will continue. It's an odd feeling, for the first time I'm very aware that I'm finishing.
You can read the rest of the excerpts here
.
The program will air on December 10th at 9 am & repeat on December 24th at 5 pm.

I will definately have a listen to that interview. To be honest I don't wont to guess to much about book 7 -I think it spoils it if your always trying to guess whats going to heppen when you read the book.

I am really nervous as to what she has planned for the 7th book. It seems like we always try to guess what is coming, like with the other books, and she really surprises us!

Well yes. I have thought about being a writer but then when you think about it writing a series is very hard work. It is hard, more over, extemely hard not to make things obvious. JK Rowling has done a very very good job in consealing the mysteries and clues in the stories and i have to congradulate her for it. I hope that we don't make her too nervious and make her think that she is a bad "consealer" by guessing some clues and stuff right off the bat. But she shouldn't worry because we love figuring stuff out! I love analyzing her books and looking for the slightest things. That is what makes her stories more wonderful that any other book i have read! Good job JK Rowling! (i hope i haven't been rambling too much, i tend to speek my mind alot :P)

Thanks Orchid, I'll definitely try that site. Imagine the look on her face if someone asks if his guess is right and it really is. Miss Jo is right, she'd panic, anyone would. I hope this convinces her to start her book before people ruin the story.
I'm out.

RON's all up in heRmiONe says:
She knows what is going to happen at the end of the series. We should go to her house and just stand there and chant we want to know what happens and see if she cracks. She probibly won't. She said that the sixth book related to the last one, the end mostly. Dumbledore dies, maybe someone else is going to die, perhaps Harry, lets hope not. At the end at his funeral Ron and Hermione start rubbing each other, well, who knows what they will be doing in the end of the 7th book...

I think sometimes that I know how she's going to end it because of the style she writes in...but then I don't know. I would really love to hear what she has to say. I wonder if she'll say how far she has gotten in writing the 7th book.
