Leading up to the previously mentioned upcoming interview with J.K. Rowling and Stephen Fry, Bloomsbury has released a press release about Living With Harry, a segment to be featured on on BBC Radio 4. In addition to mentioning the seventh Harry Potter book, Rowling talks about her favorite author and Fry talks about how he performs the voices of the characters. Here's a tidbit of the Bloomsbury press release:
Stephen Fry asks about the relationship between Harry and Voldemort and J.K. Rowling firmly rejects the suggestion that he is Harry's father ("that's a Star Wars question") and promises they won't turn out to be Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.

Saturday, December 10th, 9:00 AM (GMT) to hear the full half-hour interview. Additionally, you can listen to BBC 4 live on their website stream, if you have Real Player and happen to be awake at that hour.

Voldemort...Harry's father...I think not. I mean, they don't even look the same, Harry doesn't look like a snake. Plus, everyone is saying that Harry looks so much like his father, and acts so much like him. Well, anything could happen, but not this. I wish I could hear this on the radio though, that would be so cool.

Haha, I love it when people try and connect HP to Star Wars...it's a great flick, but I mean not every story is gonna follow that pattern. Star Wars follows the Hero Wheel almost exactly, but that's because George Lucas is a big Mythology nut and loved the myth and bible course he took in college... that doesn't mean every story is going to be like that! Modern hero stories don't have the 'father atonement' part of the wheel so much...
