On December 15th, Brendan Gleeson
received a London Film Critics Award nomination for his portrayal of Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire movie. According to Movie City News, Mr. Gleeson will contend against the following under the category:
British Actor in Supporting Role
Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)
James McAvoy (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)
Paddy Considine (Cinderella Man)
Tom Hollander (Pride and Prejudice)
Cillian Murphy (Batman Begins)
Another Goblet of Fire co-star, Ralph Fiennes (You-Know-Who), also received a nomination for his portrayal of Justin Quayle in The Constant Gardener.
The awards are set to take place on February 8, 2006. Congratulations to both actors on their nominations.

I think that he certainly deserves this nomination, and maybe even the award. I haven't seen all of the other movies that they listed, so I dont' know how he measures up against all those other actors. Bravo, though!

He should get that award he is a really good actor. I just realized, I dunno if anyone else knows this but Brendan Gleeson is in the movie Troy staring Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, and Orlando Bloom he plays the character of Menulaus. I started laughing when I realized that!

SWEET! Oh, did you guys know that Gary Oldman stared in Batman Begins? As Jim Gordon, you know the guy that helps Batman, the cop. Oooh Cillian Murphy, I thought he was weird in Batman Begins. I think Brendon Glesson will definently win, I hope so. Anything Harry Potter wins in my book.
