Trend-tracking site BlogPulse has announced its list of the top blogs and various categories
in the "blogosphere" of 2005.
Harry Potter was #1 on their list of most-mentioned "people" and, along with Donnie Darko at #17, was the only other winner in the top 20 who wasn't a real person. Rounding out the top five were President Bush, Pope John Paul II, Britney Spears and Michael Jackson.
The act of blogging exploded
this year as services made it easier for anyone to write just about anything and post it online with a click. Technorati estimated in August that new blogs were being created at a rate of 80,000 per day (or one per second).

This is actually very funny. I'm pretty sure that Harry unfortunately wouldn't win an election against him though . . . but we never know he just might surprise us L.O.L

That's really cool it's probably since Buch is more of an American figure while Harry Potter is international.

People are talking more about harry potter than president bush? How odd is that? I have to admit, I am surprised. People are talking all over about how President bush isn't such a good president, especially on the daily show. Harry Potter is more exciting than bush though. I personally don't blog either but I do sometimes. Would this count as blogging? If it does, than I do it everyday.

I can't believe Harry Potter beat Bush! Haha! Good news indeed considering that Bush has been mentioned so much in the past, but then again, this IS Harry Potter that we are indeed talking about. And Harry Potter has been immensely popular since his debut. Of course, it doesn't hurt that his story is eagerly read by a ton of people. I mean, this webpage is an example of how popular Harry Potter really is, isn't it?
