While editors placed it at eighth, they offered another interesting choice: "Best book for kids not yet ready for Harry Potter." (It's Leonardo, the Terrible Monster by Mo Willems.)
Other categories include "Worst book by a celebrity," "Best unmasking of a historical monster" and "Most overstated title."

No surprise here. How could it not be one of the best? Particularly given the fan base and the sales volume.

Well this just shows what the people believe is the best! While the editors think it should be number 8, the general public is what is really important. :)

As an author I'd prefer the reader's opinion over the critic's and so I'd be very happy thet the reader's chose Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince as their favourite book.
It is interesting to see that in Germany the German edition of HBP is on #1 in the list of best selling books of the year, too. AND the English edition is on #3!!!
