got an early look at the deleted scenes that are to be included in the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD, expected in the first quarter of this year. Eight new scenes are described to be featured:
The DVD was previously reported to be released early March, but we'll keep you posted on the actual release date. Thanks to Pablo for the tip.

I can't wait to get the DVD in my hands and see these scenes. I really wish they would have just put them into the movie in the first place, but then they wouldn't have had anything to put in the "Deleted Scenes" part of the extras. Oh well, Can't wait!!

Cool! I was hoping for deleted scenes since the movie was so fast paced and I wanted to see more. I can't wait to get the DVD. Too bad there couldn't be more deleted or extended scenes. I would have loved to see an extended version of the World Cup scene.

Why can't they be put back into the movie? I mean they're fun to watch... but why? LoTR had a brilliant thing going on. People bought both versions. I know I did. So why can't they do this... it would make them more money and appease the fans. This fan at least, that is.

I think there's gonna be more deleted scenes. I mean a lot of pictures didn't appear in the movie. I especially want to know what's happening in the picture of Ron and Hermione looking confused (She's wearing a violet blazer and Ron sort of a brown one) and the one with the trio in the waterfall, and Harry on the rock...ok...they're too many to remember but none of them appear in the descriptions. Hope they'll show them in the dvd.

I really think some of those scenes should have been in the moive. I remember, when Beauxbatons and Durmastrand arrived, I was like "Wait.. Isn't Dumble going t introduce this whole thing to the Hogwarts students, before they're invaded by flying horses?"

I have no idea why a couple of these scenes were deleted. My husband (not a book reader) didn't understand why the schools were there, some things confused him. It would have helped the non-book Harry fans.

They are a nice reminder to us that they really were trying to follow the book and they did film them but were too restricted in the length of the film to put them in! I really want to see what else is going to be on there. For some reason me and my friend love the car thing in the forbbiden forest on the film 2 dvd! She pledged not to buy any of the DVD's or Videos of HP because she knows they'll come out in one bug DVD boxset at the end but I'm still buying them. If a boxset comes out then I'll get that aswell!

I don't want to watch the behind the scenes stuff on the computer because I want it to be a surprise, unlike half the scences in the movie which I saw beforehand...but I can hardly wait till I am sitting on my couch in front of my TV watching everything on both discs!
