BAFTA nominations for 'GoF' announced Popular (3131)

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has been nominatedopens in new window for three BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) awards. The nominations are for Production Design, Achievement in Special Visual Effects and Make-up & Hair. The awards ceremony will take place in London on Sunday, February 19th.

I thought they really deserved all of those nominations. Especially hair and make-up (Hermione). I'm wondering if the film can be nominated for any American awards, seeing as how it was screened in America as well. However I'm thinking not because everybody who worked on the film was Brittish.

I'm expecting for the HP movies to take a similar route to the LotR movies in that the first ones will go quite unrecognized and the final one sweeping in a lot of awards. I hope so anyways. I imagine the main actor's performances will be quite good after playing the same character for years. Guess we will have to wait and see!

I am also disgruntled because there is only 3, I think it deserves to get not just nomination but actually awards for many other aspects, I mean come on it was the best movie in 2005 I mean it topped up th box-office for last year, it should get more credit for that.
