Just one nomination? :(I am really dissapointed although i am very happy for Brokeback Mountain (8 nominations) because it is a great movie. If anyone has the chance i suggest watching it.

It is great news that GOF got an oscar nomination. I hope it wins. At least it is in a category without brokeback Mountain. But I thought that GOF should have got a nomination for best wisual effects.

Achievement in Art? It was a well-shot film but not better than Kong. Props for the nomination. But I don't think that it will win.

That is a really big honour! The people who work on it should be really proud of themselves, but they do have a large compition. I really liked King Kong. I think that it might win. Who knows.

Great! Its completely awesome!! I mean its the firt time that a Harry potter film is nominated in this category, so this is huge!!! I really hope it wins, and I was, no no I am reali dissapointed that it didnt get nominated for special effects, I really and not just as a Harry Potter fan thata its special effects are pretty outstanding! I hope Goblet of Fire wins, after all its just the opinion of a few people, and not of the public in general, so for me Goblet of Fire wins this and many many more awards!!!

PS. we sould be able to vote for the Oscars, shouldnt we?

Well I'm pretty excited about this!! I thought surely it would be nominated for visual effects! I thought the visual effects were better that narnia.. and narnia was nominated!! Although my money is on Good Night and Good Luck to win (because its nominated for best picture) i really hope GOF wins!

This is fantastic news!
It's about time HP has received some recognition for the wonderful films the books have produced!
I think it's because up until now the movies have always been classed as children's films and now they've become more accessible to a wider audience (not that this 24 year old was going to be stopped from watching any of them!)
Also GoF is pulling in some serious moneym there's no way the academy can deny something which has such obvious popularity!
