Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has been nominated for an Oscar in the Achievement in art direction category. The movie will be up against Good Night, and Good Luck, Memoirs of a Geisha, King Kong and Pride & Prejudice.
Congratulations to Stuart Craig and Stephenie McMillan.

. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on ABC on Sunday, March 5th (please check your local listings).

Wow....Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is going to the Oscars! That's so cool, but I think it should have been nominated for more things, instead of in Achievement for Art Direction. But beggars can't be chosers! At least GOF got nominated for something. It is an awesome movie and deserves the best, so hopefully it'll win.
So look out all you other movies and here comes Harry Potter!

I hope GOF wins. The set decorations were great. you can't just have a castle with nothing in it - there was a lot of work that went into that movie. Even the trophy room where the champions were... There was never a dull scene in that entire movie - always something to keep your eyes on, providing you could tear your eyes away from the main characters for even a second. It should win!
