Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has been nominated for an Oscar in the Achievement in art direction category. The movie will be up against Good Night, and Good Luck, Memoirs of a Geisha, King Kong and Pride & Prejudice.
Congratulations to Stuart Craig and Stephenie McMillan.

. The awards ceremony will be broadcast on ABC on Sunday, March 5th (please check your local listings).

Hmmmm I'd say it's pretty close between GoF and Memiors of a Geisha on this one. I don't think Good Night and Good Luck or King Kong stands much of a chance on this one. Pride and Prejudice, maybe.
But despite the fact that I like to support HP, I'd say Memoirs beats it on this one.

Yay! for GOF! I'm really glad to hear this...I didn't expect GOF to be nominated, so I'm glad and they have a really good shot at winning Mr. Oscar...I think only King Kong is the other probability, but I really hope they win. I think it's time for a HP movie to receive an oscar. They deserve it!
