It would be difficult for GOF to win. Honestly, the 4th film was nothing compared to the other nominees. I still have to say that it's great, anyway.

No way, that couldnt be the only award they were nominated for could it? hmm sounds funny .... they have to be nominated for more than just that. I think they might have a hard time beating out king kong to, that movie was pretty darn neat.

Well it definitely deserves it...Mike Newell is an absolute genius...I really want him to direct OotP because he combined the darkness of GoF with humor....somehting Michael didn't do.

Hmmm. I wonder if GoF'll win... It's up against some really good films! Personally, though, GoF isn't the best out there though... too fast-paced. :)

The only movie I've seen was Memoirs of a Geisha and compared to Harry Potter, that was not as good. Plus, it was disappointing but there are parts of Harry Potter that was disappointing as well....but I think Goblet of Fire was far better. And I hope Harry Potter wins!

I'm glad it got nominated, but I seriously doubt GoF is going to get an Oscar against that type of competition, probably good night and good luck or pride and prejudice, pride and prejudice was really really good.

Wow, that's great--congrats to all involved! Unfortunately, I think it's probably just a symbolic nomination, considering what it's up against. But I have been known to be wrong. I thought for sure that Apollo 13 would win and I was devistated when it lost to a movie about a pig! [I later saw that movie, actually several times since with the children, and it is quite wonderful!]

Goblet of Fire has been nominated for almost every award there is to be nominated for it . . . pretty soon they'll be making up nominations for it lik, best red head, or sexiest actress . . . actually, I think it would win that, with Bonnie and Emma . . .

I'm glad GoF earned a nomination, it definitely deserved it. I was a bit surprised that it wasn't nominated in the visual effects category, because they were wonderful. But any nomination is good.
