Wow, that's great--congrats to all involved! Unfortunately, I think it's probably just a symbolic nomination, considering what it's up against. But I have been known to be wrong. I thought for sure that Apollo 13 would win and I was devistated when it lost to a movie about a pig! [I later saw that movie, actually several times since with the children, and it is quite wonderful!]

Goblet of Fire has been nominated for almost every award there is to be nominated for it . . . pretty soon they'll be making up nominations for it lik, best red head, or sexiest actress . . . actually, I think it would win that, with Bonnie and Emma . . .

I'm glad GoF earned a nomination, it definitely deserved it. I was a bit surprised that it wasn't nominated in the visual effects category, because they were wonderful. But any nomination is good.

In art direction? I dunno, some of those other movies had some pretty good art, too. I mean, Memoirs of a Geisha was mainly focused on art. But I will be glad if HP wins.

I hope GOF wins, it's such a great movie. I don't see why it wouldn't win. If it looses its because of King Kong. But I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.

Well I am glad to see it. But somewhat suprised that it did not get some in the special effects area. I thought some of the animation was truly deserving.

Thats really great that it got an Oscar nod but i dont think it won did it?Thats a real disappointment,i was so sure it would win with its box office success.Still, never mind, there are still more Potter films to come and surely one of them will bag an Oscar.
