It would be nice if GOF won, but I think the academy will reward Memoirs with the Oscar.

Why didn't GoF get nominated for visual effects???? Why are there only 3 nominations for original song? What about score? I'm a bit ticked off at some of these nominations, or the lack thereof.

I am sure they should have been nominated for more awards , but it is cool to see them nominated in this categorie . Although I think that a european film like this won`t win the award .

I'm glad Stuart Craig got a nomination, he's worked so hard these past (many) years on HP and he's quite good. But I might be one of the few who think GoF won't win in the category because of the tough competition. It's still nice to be nominated though. Good luck to him and Stephenie McMillan. And as for the other categories, while I think the Academy's always been more political and small-film/artistic leaning in its choices and certainly GoF isn't along those lines anyway, I don't think GoF would've merited a nomination for the big categories due to poor choices made at the top.

I'm sorry but GoF isn't good enough to win anything. I'm suprised it was nominated at all so the movie should be greatful. They've taken my favourite book and reeled out this "version" which was not very good because they've changed of characters too much. Leave the characters and their dynamic as they are in the books even if you change everything else and I'm sure they'll finally have a good movie. One of the reasons Harry Potter is so good is because of it's characters and not the hollywood version of what they should be. When will they get that. To be fair, GoF is the best they have produced so far. I have hopes for OotP but I won't hold my breath because I'm sure they'll fail. I wonder how old I'll be when the good remakes come out?
