The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

I've only managed to see the parts for Luna and Umbridge. I have to admit, they both look more or less what I thought they would look like. Though with Luna I expected her hair to be more of a dirty blonde. Though I suppose they can change that. I mean, Tom Feltons hair isn't naturally blonde, nor are the Weasely Twin's actors red.

Thats great that all those roles have been casted. Now I get to see who will be who. I think they did a good job of casting, but I can't wait to see what the characters look like in all their make-up and costumes. I'm sure they will all look the part. So congrats to all of the people who will be in the nw Harry Potter movie and I wish them the best of luck.

Oh, I'm so glad she's a true fan. Evanna, I mean. So very few seem to have got parts. Hopefully she'll interpret the role ok, and she looks the part too!
Unbelievably lucky though - not only did she get such a coveted part but she also has a signed book?! NO FAIR! :P

Wow I am SOO excited! Luna looks almost exactly as I pictured her, AND she's an HP fan! How awesome is that! I'm hopeful that she will do a fantastic job. Sadly, I can't seem to find any pictures of the actresses for Tonks or Mrs.Figg! Hopefully they're great as well!
