The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

Awesome, the casting is now complete. But wow, that girl looks nothing like the Luna from the books. I guess she was the best actress but she didn't look the part so well if you ask me.

I am much happier about this luna. she looks alot more like luna than the other pictures they showed us. She doesnt really look geeky but they can really change the image with makeup.
I cant wait to see what the other cast look like!

But it must be thrilling for her to say that she was chosen to play in Harry Potter and she's got some good parts I think unless they don't use all of them. It must be a bit intimidating to think that I'm acting against Daniel, Ron and Hermione though! ANd it's great that we've got the cast for all of these other people! Can't wait for the moviee to come out!

I wish that Luna looked more like what I imagined. I pictured a Professor Trelawny like person. Except with blonde hair and less curly hair.

Well, it looks like a good lineup, except for Natalia Tena. I found a pix of her on the 'net, and I wasn't impressed. She just doesn't look like the Tonks I've always imagined. Oh well. My opinion doesn't really count.

I think Evanna will be awesome considering that she's such a huge fan of the books. I thought Bellatrix Lestrange would look more freaky and for that I'm dissapointed but I hope they do her make-up well and that will suffice. Mrs. Figg is perfectly casted as is Umbride. I didn't imagine Tonks like that at all and that got me very upset. I hope they recast it. I'm really dissapointed.
