The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

I honestly don't think that Evanna Lynch looks anything like Luna Lovegood. I exepted Luna to look totally dreamy, and just kinda crazy. Kinda like me. But about the other news, that is great!!! I can't wait to see pictures of all the other actors!! And for the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix high rise images!!!!

Yes, I fogot they were going to start working on OoTP in February...wow..it's February already! I wish there were pictures of the new characters. I guess we'll start getting those here soon. I kind of thought the other girl fit the image of Luna better but I guess Evanna was what Warner Brothers was looking for.

Awesome!!!! I checked out some pics of the actors cast as Tonks,Mrs. Figg and Bellatrix. They seem like good choices to me. I think that once in makeup and wardrobe, they're gonna look great.

Great! I would like to see some photos from the new casted actors. I guess I'm not going to watch any trailers, promotional photos, etc. of this movie because I want the look of the characters and everything to be a new surprise!

Cool!!1 I jsta cant wait for Order of the Phoenix, and I hope they do an excellent job, but as we've seen the casting crew has a very good taste and they have been no deceptions...yet, I hope this continues like this, because I really do enjoy a lt watching HP movies and with a not so good actor it just wouldnt be the same!
