The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

Whoa... why does this always happen.. first with the actress fleur there were naked videos all over the place.. now it seems that if you look up Natalia Tena (who plays tonks) you can find tons of 'porn' she's been in just by searching her name under Yahoo images... unbelievable... I was so sure that Tonks was suppose to be not to attractive.

I don't know what to say... first bellatrix and tonks are ok, miss figgs is not look alike, but maybe with make up she can do it, and as for Luna, i'll see with more pictures from the set.

but all the more reason to get into the Harry Potter spirit for another year. I cannot wait to see the finished product!

Hahaha. That Staunton person is just like Umbridge. At least the way I imagined her to be. Tgheat Helena person doesn't really fits the description except maybe for the sunken cheeks and all. Evanna do look like Luna, which is great because it'll make the movie even more fantastic.

Happy doesn't even describe the feeling I have right now. The person chosen to play Luna is pitch perfect from looks down to the eyes. She conveys so much with that one look and I really feel that they've found one of very few Luna's in existence.
Umbridge is the best casting decision of this film as of now. Imelda Staunton's an amazing actress and I just am more than eagerly awaiting the teaser trailer to view her performance and her hopefully hearing the trademark... "Hem Hem"...
Nat Gastian Tena, what can I say but bliss. She is just amazing in About a Boy and basically if they take that charcter give her more human clothes cut a bit of the hair off and rid her of the dreads, she's perfect.
I didn't really like Helen McCrory when they first announced she might play Bella, but looking at the pictures of her I'm ecstatic. She's absolutely perfect and has that way too lean and undefed, so incredibly evil, so loyal look. She's become one of my favourite decisions though I still wish they could have cast Angelina Jolie.
And then Mrs. Figg. All they have to do is throw grey hair on that woman. She looks exactly like her except her hair is black, but that's easily fixable.
As of this moment I'm so greatly looking forward to this film and praying to God David Yates knows how to direct, because if he does then this is going to be the best of the lot.

Anyways, I wish they has pictures of the people though. That luna girl does look like she has that sort of mischvious look on her, she looks perfect.

I think that there were some pretty good choices for actresses especially Imedlia Staton. I thought that April Friel was going out for Tonks. I guess that she didn't get it. Oh well, maybe she can vie for another role that is what David Thewlis did. Best of luck to her on that.

Excellent! The people in the cast are PERFECT for the roles they are going to play! I saw all their pictures on MuggleNet. Filming starts next week and the movie will be released in 2007. I wonder how much of the story will have to be edited so that all of it fits into one small movie...
