The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

I can't wait to see Umbridge done up in all her make-up. The only thing is... Imelda is too skinny to play her! Umbridge is fatter! Umbridge is as huge as she is mean!

I'm so glad Imelda Staunton is indeed playing Umbridge, she'll be great. She looks right too, and sounds how I'd expect. I was slightly surprised at Tonks though, I was expecting it to be Anna Friel, she just looks so right. Luna surprised me a little too, she doesn't look exactly like my Luna, but she looks good, and I keep going on about her Luna-ish eyes, they're so right for the role. I was surprised at Bellatrix too, but then again, we all have our own views on how they look. I think the casting directors are more talented than we are at choosing mind, so who are we to say!

Lune doesn't look how i expected her to be, i though it would be more of a weird look. About umbridge she look exactly as i though and tonks the same. if you people haven't seen pictures of umbrige, tooo bad!!!!

May they be as good as they should be (I know that Ms. Imelda Staunton is a good actress, she has played against Dan Radcliffe back when they were filming "David Copperfield". This could be a reunion for them.)

This Luna girl is just ****... There's nothing in her that makes Luna Luna... I can't believe they chose THIS girl from thousands of to-be-Lunas... *sighs* Prejudice, I know, but I just can't help it.
Imelda Staunton is perfect, I've already said that when her name first came to the Harry Potter horizon :D
And I hav my opinion of this imdb site.. No pics..
As for Tonks........ I don't have words for it. WHY NOT ANNA FRIEL?? WHY WHY WHY????????????? Anna would have been the PERFECT TONKS! With the lovely real life thing that her husband is David Thewlis.... They just don't know how to choose the right person.
I don't think OotP will satisfy fans.

I am not too happy about the actress for Bellatrix's role, Helen McCrory. She doesn't look a bit like the one I had in my mind. Well, hopefully she'll look better in the movie. I have no complaining about the others, in fact I like the actress chosen as Luna Lovegood. Nice one!

I googled all those people so I could get some pictures. They seem pretty good. Not spitting images of what I saw in my mind, but they will definitely work. Evanna Lynch doesn't look anything like how I pictured Luna, but according to some of my HP friends, I didn't picture her right. I definitely think she'll work, though!
