The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

There were no good pics of Helen McCrory, so I'm just going on the casting direstors' good judgements! No, wait, I googled her and she looks like what I thought Bellatrix looked like.
No pic of Natalia Tena, either; I'll google her, too... but, sadly, no good pics there, either.
Katherine Hunter looks about what I thought of Mrs. Figg, but I thought of Mrs. Figg as more of a grandmotherly, gray-haired old lady, and she doesn't look like that...

I'm glad that these people were selected to play their parts. They all look fit for their characters, and, though I am not familiar with most of their work, I have confidence that they will live up to the characters they are meant to play.

Good stuff. The actress chosen for Tonks looks quite the part, although she'd be more fitting with pink hair. I thought of Tonks as being very attractive. Not saying that the actress isn't, it's just that her picture is not quite justifying Tonks.
Anyway, the cameras are about to roll I believe, we'll get to see the movie in about a year
