The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

Well, i don't have the time to look at their pictures because my computer is going slow...but i'll see them later, whenever. The cast....ehhm....they're all o-k-a-y to me... I think Staunton will play her part as Umbridge best..but we'll have to see how they all play their part when the movie comes out... -_- still, i can't wait! :)

Wow, that is alot of new cast, i'm very excited and i wander when they will start filming again. all the new cast look great and they all suit the parts which is brilliant because the characters do come out of the books!

I'm glad that filming starts today (from what I heard on the tv news this morning).
Bellatrix - well, I'll see what they do with her costume and makeup, but the jury is still out.
Umbridge - I think they picked well there. she has the right build, I guess if she needs fattening up you can always add a fat suit like they did in Moulin Rouge.
Luna - well, looking at the earlier pics of her, I'd say she fits well. Put her in pigtails or braids and glasses and you've got her to a tee.
Mrs Figg - well, will have to see her in costume, but she does look a bit how I imagined her. In my mind she wore dresses like my godmother and had curlers in her hair, but that's just me.
Hopefully they will all blend in well and do a good job on film. Excellent! I'm so excited, I don't think I can wait for it to come out.
As long as they keep the same actors for the main characters for all seven films, then I will never have anything bad to say.

This is so totally awesome. So many new characters in the 5th movie. I don't really know who most of these actors are since i don't live in Britain and these are probably are British actors but i still can't wait to see them all. The person playing Tonks looks really familiar

I really liked all the people they picked. This news has satisfied my OotP hunger for now... Pretty soon more news and pictures will start coming in... Woot! I can't wait to see Umbridge done up in all her make-up. The only thing is... Imelda is too skinny to play her! Umbridge is fatter! Umbridge is as huge as she is mean!
