The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

Awesome! Can't wait for the new movie! I've seen GoF already with my sister. I think Staunton will do good as Umbridge. But I think Zelda Rubinstein would do good too. when I first read OotP when Rowling described Umbridge, Rubinstein was the first person to come to mind. If you don't know who she is, she's the short lady with the high pitched voice in Poltergeist.

I'm sure Imelda Staunton is able to play a perfect (perfectly ODIOUS) Umbridge... ....and something tells me (well, I have a feeling) that Helen McCrory will make a perfect (formerly beautiful, completely mad, entirely evil, totally insane, ABSOLUTELY DETESTABLE) Bellatrix Lestrange.... ...and I don't care much about Mrs.Figg... .....but Natalia Tena as Tonks??...-uh, I really don't know!!!!......
Oh, at least that Evanna girl looks suited for Luna's part!!! Now let's just hope she'll be able to play the character, too!!...

Luna's actress is exactly how i planned luna to look...i REALLY want to see bellatrix's appearance...and i can't wait to see tonks' hair change colour...mrs figg would be pretty nice...i wish they had some pictures up...otherwise we might have to wait for the movie to see some of the characters!

J. K. Rowling is at the moment writing her 7th Harry Potter book and sadly the last. It has not yet been named but will certainly be one of the best. After appearing on the Richard and Judy show recently she gave the Harry Potter fans a lot to think about. If it’s not the fact, that there are two more deaths than she originally planned or the fact Harry Potter himself might be killed off. So I say there are a lot of people waiting for the new book to come out. When ever it is but I have to agree with HPANA that it would probably come out on the 07/07/2007 since that it is the 7th book and since the number 7 does have a big significance in the magical world. Hey and we don’t have long for the new movie to come out just 1 year and 15 days. Yes it is coming out on the 13th of July 2007. So all those Harry Potter Fans hang in there and if you’ve re read those six book a thousand times check out www.hpana.com for loads of information on Harry Potter and how the movie is coming on and the new book.
Look this is just something i wrote so let me know what you think. I've only just joined and i'm addicted to hpana

Natalia Tena is perfect for Nymphadora Tonks! i like her. she's a very good actress and she suits the physical attributes for tonks.
Imelda Staunton and Helena Bonham Carter is perfect for their roles!
