The roles of Luna Lovegood, Nymphadora Tonks, Dolores Umbridge & Bellatrix Lestrange have been cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, it was announced
this morning.
As expected, Imelda Staunton will play new DADA teacher Professor Umbridge. The role of Luna Lovegood will be played by 14-year-old Evanna Lynch from Ireland who was one of the thousands of girls who auditioned in London a few weeks ago.
We previously mentioned that Helen McCrory had been cast as Bellatrix and now she has been officially confirmed. Ms. McCrory has appeared in Casanova and The Count of Monte Cristo as well as numerous British TV shows.
Natalia Tena, who recently appeared in Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench & Bob Hoskins will be playing hair-changing Tonks.
We finally get to see the character of Mrs. Figg who will be played by actress Kathryn Hunter, who has appeared in Orlando and All or Nothing.
Principal photography is scheduled to start on Monday, February 6 at Leavesden Studios.

As for the girl playing Luna, not how i imagined, but i'm not going to judge on that for now.. I mean, this is like with Katie before so.. But anyway, congratulations to all!

The Luna is closer to how I picture her than I expected her to be (of course that might change once they start putting makeup on her, but I think it'll be okay.) Imelda Stauton doesn't look right now like I pictured Umbridge really, but I suspect that'll change when they put makeup on her. I can't wait to see the other pics, especially of Tonks.

I really didn't picture Luna like that...guess I'll have to wait and see how she appears in the film. I thought before that Imelda Staunton would be a good Umbridge and I still agree with that. That Helen McCrory doesn't look like she can be as evil as Bellatrix. I don't know Natalia Tena, I'll have to wait for pictures of her.

I saw some pictures of that Helen. I think she'll do OK job. I was hoping that Catherine Zeta-Jones will do rolle of Bella but anyway...
That Umbridge is fantastic!! I think they couldn't find betetr!!!
And I hope Tonks-girl is Ok. I hope we'll see more pictures of all of them soon.
Not perfect cast for now, but I believe make up will do everything else. It's still great when we look how it could be!

I kinda feel sorry for Imelda though. Anyone placed in that role is sure to get hate mail from HP fans (even though she obviously is only acting). That's what happens to the people who play the Dursleys!

1. Remember she's got to ACT, don't judge anything on her looks. Personally, I think she looks awesome.
2. If you see the fullsize image of her, her clothes look kinda like some clothes Luna would wear.

Imela Saunton is an IDEAL Umbridge. In fact that's who I imagined when I read the books. Ultimate casting! I'm reallu excited now! And casting's starting on MONDAY!
