With all the news today about the upcoming Harry Potter film, actor Daniel Radcliffe discusses how he has prepared for his role this time around by meeting with a grief counselor so that he could understand survivor's guilt which is so prevalent in the book.
Daniel on understanding his role in Order of the Phoenix.
Sirius is clinging on to James (Harry's father and Sirius' best friend) through me, and I'm trying to know my father through him. The same thing happens with me and Cho. I was the last person there when her last boyfriend, Cedric, was killed.

I'm glad he takes preparation for his role seriously. I hope he gives some advise to Michael Gambon. It would really make the subsequent films better.

It sounds like Dan has come a long way since he fell into the first movie- hopefully the deep emotional stuff doesn't get eliminated in OotP like it did in the most recent film.

Okay, so I see he grasps the whole Sirius and Dad and then Cho and Cedric thing but I also hope that he understands how dark and difficult his life is in this book and how hard this film is going to be. I love Dan and I know he can do it, I just hope he understands it is going to be hard.

It's so great to see how Dan prepares for the roles. It just shows how much he loves playing this part. That shows in his acting, which has gotten better in every movie. I can't wait to see it when it all comes out!!
