With all the news today about the upcoming Harry Potter film, actor Daniel Radcliffe discusses how he has prepared for his role this time around by meeting with a grief counselor so that he could understand survivor's guilt which is so prevalent in the book.
Daniel on understanding his role in Order of the Phoenix.
Sirius is clinging on to James (Harry's father and Sirius' best friend) through me, and I'm trying to know my father through him. The same thing happens with me and Cho. I was the last person there when her last boyfriend, Cedric, was killed.

It's amazing how much actors go through to prepare for their roles. Way to go Dan for your serious (no pun intended) approach to your job.

He is just sohot in every way possible, and that shows that he takes his acting seriously by doing background work. I wish he could improve his crying but other than that he is doing a great job.

That is a good way to research how Harry would be feeling. That should improve his acting for this role.

I really hope that Dan will turn out a heart-wrenching performance when he lashes out about Sirius' death. I hope that his work with the grief counselor will do the job.

I read the article last week, but I didn't notice the links to the pictures before. The picture of the woman playing Tonks...she looked quite mad in it--she could play Bellatrix from that shot. It's nice to see some of the photos, though!

Daniel radcliffe is a very good actor. Him playing harry potter in the first four movies proves it. I think his preparations for movie 5 will help him into developing into a better actor.

Well, I do hope that this will make the next movie even better since he would understand what Harry is going through.
I'm happy that he does try to be like Harry. It'd be really cool if it works.

It's cool how he's trying to actually understand the character. It's probably going to make his performance deeper than it'd be without it. It's pretty cool.

He is so great for this role of being HP really!!! i love that he is Harry and nobady else and like all the people in the movies if they changed them that would suck really bad!!! i love all the people that go and put time into the HP movies just for all the people in the world that love to read and everything else that has to do with it!!! Its just so nice and even though theres people in the world that think HP is like the most evilest thing in the world its great that Dan, Rupert, Emma, and well every one else to do this just for the people that do like it!!! and i just don't want the books to end!!! its sad but its also a great relief too!!! but i can't wait for the DVD to come and the book and the 5th movie to come out next year!!! hope its as good as the last 4 were!!! hahaha of course it will!!!

I think his work with the councilor with really help with the role. Daniel is young and I also think that it will also teach lessons that we learn in life as well such as compassion.
