With all the news today about the upcoming Harry Potter film, actor Daniel Radcliffe discusses how he has prepared for his role this time around by meeting with a grief counselor so that he could understand survivor's guilt which is so prevalent in the book.
Daniel on understanding his role in Order of the Phoenix.
Sirius is clinging on to James (Harry's father and Sirius' best friend) through me, and I'm trying to know my father through him. The same thing happens with me and Cho. I was the last person there when her last boyfriend, Cedric, was killed.

I often wonder how someone can handle all of the preparation for a role like this, but if you love something as much as THIS, how could you not. Why does it seem like Order of the Phoenix will never come out? Hurry up, 2007!

I read the book and I think that the "survivors guilt" is very great in the 5th movie. He suffers alot with Cho and everything but it is soooooo cool.

Dan is such a good actor, preparing with a grief counselor is a good idea to prepare for his role and I'm sure with a bit of time he will do great.

A grief counselor, pretty funny but serious as well. I didn't know he has to go through that stuff. Can't wait to see the end results! Whooh, I can't believe I'm already excited for OotP.

I believe that his sessions with this "grief counseler" will really help him. it's difficult to try and pretend to be sad or grieving. I mean really! If i tried to act sad, i'd probably have a giggle fit or something. This will help Daniel Radcliffe become a better actor! If he could do these scense and convince me that he's totally distraught, then i think he's definitely going to win some type of movie award! when he was holding cedric's body in the fourth movie and crying i thought he did an excellent job. it was really moving and i was really impressed with his skill so i'm sure he'll do fine.

Then I cried when I re-read it, and when I re-re-read it...... (And after book 6... ...well, I'm still crying, sometimes!!!)
