With all the news today about the upcoming Harry Potter film, actor Daniel Radcliffe discusses how he has prepared for his role this time around by meeting with a grief counselor so that he could understand survivor's guilt which is so prevalent in the book.
Daniel on understanding his role in Order of the Phoenix.
Sirius is clinging on to James (Harry's father and Sirius' best friend) through me, and I'm trying to know my father through him. The same thing happens with me and Cho. I was the last person there when her last boyfriend, Cedric, was killed.

Great!! i cant wait for the filming to begin, and I love it that he's preparing himself to play an excellent role , as the Harry in OotP is I believe more sentimentally developed, and well Dan has to really play the part!! I wish everyone luck next monaday and thata OotP turns out to be justa as good ore ever better thata previous movies!!! YEIH!!! more HP films comging up!

Hopefully all this preperation will help him portray the role better. Not saying he did a bad job or any thing, but this time, you might need more preperation. I love Dan and hopes he does his best in this film.

I'm glad that he is going to a grief counselor, it was diffuicult to read and I'm sure it will be just as difficult for Dan to perform. I'm glad he is going to such lengths, Im sure it will do it justice.

This is, in my opinion, the darkest title of the 6 already released. Dan will face a more complex, mature role, but I am sure he'll be wonderful. Hope everybody realises how great an actor he is.

It's great to hear Dan working towards learning how to better play his role, after all a mixture between this survivor's guilt and normal teenager problems is probably the main reason he's always angry through out OotP. Kudos to him.

Wow....Daniel really has to prepare hard for this serious role of Harry Potter. Harry does have a lot of emotions to go through, and Daniel needs to learn how to portray them properly. This is probably going to be a really in-depth movie. All the cast are going to have to step up a notch and work harder, if that's possible. Dan is going to have to strap himself down and enjoy the ride!
With all the things that are going to happen in this movie like, death, new creatures, Grimmauld Place, dreams to an endless corridor, two dementors attack, etc....Man, I can't wait to see the movie when it comes out! We also get to see how well the young cast did taking on these adult-like roles!

I think its great how he is a young actor but knows the importance of going beyond by learning more about how his character works. Its nice to know how seriously he takes his role and how he wants to do a good job.

I wish that it was closer than 2007... but hopefully that much of a wait will be worth it. Oh, wouldn't it be cool if the last book and the movie came out in the same week. Euphoria!
