With all the news today about the upcoming Harry Potter film, actor Daniel Radcliffe discusses how he has prepared for his role this time around by meeting with a grief counselor so that he could understand survivor's guilt which is so prevalent in the book.
Daniel on understanding his role in Order of the Phoenix.
Sirius is clinging on to James (Harry's father and Sirius' best friend) through me, and I'm trying to know my father through him. The same thing happens with me and Cho. I was the last person there when her last boyfriend, Cedric, was killed.

I am so happy that Dan is speaking with a couselor to fully understand people's grief. I can not wait to see the movie. I wish that it was closer than 2007... but hopefully that much of a wait will be worth it. Oh, wouldn't it be cool if the last book and the movie came out in the same week. Euphoria!

He's a bit dedicated isn't he! I really admire that in him, that he gets so into the character. It really shows that there's more to acting than just standing in front of a camera. I respect that.

I continue to be impressed by Daniel Radcliffe. He has such a good grasp of his character and the books in general. I sincerely hope that he is willing and able to play Harry throughout all seven movies.

It just goes to show Dan is serious about his acting. Taking the time to study a character's aspects and experiences is impressive... and appreciated. (Unlike certain actors who don't even bother to read the books and know the part. *clears throat*)
I hope Dan continues to treat his roles, HP or otherwise, with the same consideration. He's outstanding. I look forward to watching his career blossom.

This isn't really a new story as I heard[read] it a couple of months ago. I think it was during the main run of GOF.

""What does he think he is . .. a pholosipher or something? . . . juset stick to acting buddy . . . you know nothing of how JK wanted it to be like . . ."
WHAT? how do you dare to say what Rowling wants or not? she said Dan is perfect for the role.
And you are showing your ignorace saying "just stick to acting". Real actors do reseach about their character and emmotions before jumping to act.
