At last nights Empire Awards ceremony
, Harry Potter producer David Heyman spoke about Order of the Phoenix filming, Jason Isaacs voiced his hope that he would be back and Daniel Radcliffe went against the grain & stated that the fifth book is actually one of his favorites: "The third and the fifth are my favourites, which is a very uncommonly held opinion."
David on what has actually been filmed to date and how long filming will take:
We've done a little bit of action so far. We've done some stuff involving centaurs and Grawp, who is Hagrid's 16ft brother. The kids have to act against a lot of blue screen for characters like Grawp, but thankfully, they're used to that by now.
We're actually shooting until the middle of May and then we break up for two months so the kids can do exams. Then we pick up in July and we shoot until October or November.
Jason discusses his wish to remain with the series:
I hope so - you'll have to ask David. I can't bear the idea that somebody else would get to wear my Paris Hilton wig, but you never know.
Daniel gives his take on the fifth book:
I think the problem is that Harry can bee seen to come across as quite petulant in the book, and I don't actually think that's the case. I think when JK Rowling puts things in capital letters I don't think that necessarily means he's shouting. It could just refer to the sort of energy behind what he's saying. I think that's one of things that people object to about the book, is that they don't want a manic-depressive superhero.
Also thanks to Paul for letting us know that you can see a transcript
and video
(can take a while to load in Quicktime) of the acceptance speech of David and the trio.
UPDATE: Additionally, BBC Radio 1 reports that today Dan will be filming the kissing scene with Cho Chang, in which he says: "It'll be odd because one of my parents will be on set." Click here
to read what the young actor plans to do about it. Thanks to Cristal for the tip.

HeadmistressMcGonagall, you can be right, but if the scriptwriter didn't see it like that, Dan has to understand it the way the scritwriter/director says. And that's the way he has to explain it to us.
Catfish on the table, have you ever been inside that collenge? do you think they will film all the Room of Requirements there? :)
You should email HPANA and the other HP sites and inform them!! maybe we can get some pics!

Some info on OoTP, awesome!! I'm glad their keeping the centaurs and Grawp in. I can't wait to see some pictures from the movie (or set..)!
silva_gabby - I would suggest asking that in the forums, but since it's not that complicated -- they stole it from Filch's office. That's in the movie and the book. But, welcome to HPANA!

Like woah, I actually understood that. Personally, I think that when something is in CAPS then he IS shouting. And that is the entire point of the book as well. He is going crazy and things are getting out of his control for the first time. He just went through his first memorable trauma and more is coming. The world is just going super fast and he's in the same place. The point of the book is that he's losing control of his world.

You know, I don't think they're going to take a long time doing this film. At least not as much as the others (I hope). We could be watching Order of the Phoenix next year around Spring (again I hope).

His take on Harry's behavior on the fifth book is interesting. I cannot wait to see how he acts on the fifth movie. I hope those times with the shrink helps.

Great exerts of David, Jason and Daniel...they really do say just enough to keep the filming underwraps from fans.
Jason Isaacs...so funny...he really should stick with the character, wouldn't want to give away that Paris Hilton wig!
Great videos too...even if they did take a while to load.

Yes I have various times (going to school in a universtiy town you can hardly help visiting the universities!) When I went on a school trip a few years ago they were actually filming Philosophers/ Sorcerers stone! We didn't get to see any of the cast though, just a lot of scafolding and some cameras. Very exciting though!
You know in the films, when there is the staircase up to the great hall? That is the main staircase up to the hall in the college. And I think they use the hall too, but make it bigger digitally or something like that... I can't really remember. And some of the grounds are there too, (the bits kind of in the middle of the school). And now they must be filming room of requirement there too! Yay!
It must be anoying for the filming people though, because all teh locations they use are so far away. I mean theis is about 6 hours drive away from Scotland on motorways, and thats where they do a lot of the filming... don't know how much I'd enjoy it! Guess I'd get used to it, though...

Yay! I can't wait until the fifth movie comes out! Finished filming in November? I wonder when it's going to go out? They'll probably have to do a lot of CGs and editing to actually finish the movie. I think that "finished filming" means just that: finished filming, and not done with the whole film.

Sounds great so far, I thought that they would just get rid of Grawp. But I'm glad too hear that they are filming parts with him in it. It also looks like we won't be seeing a finished product till June of 2007. That is a long time too keep all of us Harry Fans waiting.
