At last nights Empire Awards ceremony
, Harry Potter producer David Heyman spoke about Order of the Phoenix filming, Jason Isaacs voiced his hope that he would be back and Daniel Radcliffe went against the grain & stated that the fifth book is actually one of his favorites: "The third and the fifth are my favourites, which is a very uncommonly held opinion."
David on what has actually been filmed to date and how long filming will take:
We've done a little bit of action so far. We've done some stuff involving centaurs and Grawp, who is Hagrid's 16ft brother. The kids have to act against a lot of blue screen for characters like Grawp, but thankfully, they're used to that by now.
We're actually shooting until the middle of May and then we break up for two months so the kids can do exams. Then we pick up in July and we shoot until October or November.
Jason discusses his wish to remain with the series:
I hope so - you'll have to ask David. I can't bear the idea that somebody else would get to wear my Paris Hilton wig, but you never know.
Daniel gives his take on the fifth book:
I think the problem is that Harry can bee seen to come across as quite petulant in the book, and I don't actually think that's the case. I think when JK Rowling puts things in capital letters I don't think that necessarily means he's shouting. It could just refer to the sort of energy behind what he's saying. I think that's one of things that people object to about the book, is that they don't want a manic-depressive superhero.
Also thanks to Paul for letting us know that you can see a transcript and video (can take a while to load in Quicktime) of the acceptance speech of David and the trio.
UPDATE: Additionally, BBC Radio 1 reports that today Dan will be filming the kissing scene with Cho Chang, in which he says: "It'll be odd because one of my parents will be on set." Click here to read what the young actor plans to do about it. Thanks to Cristal for the tip.

And what is this I hear (read) about that book five isn't generally liked? I loved it, it is in fact one of my favourites and has been since the day its been released.
What shocked me was, was that they are going ahead with the whole 'Grawp' story line. I thought that if there was really anything that was expendable, it was that plot (not that there really is anytihing expendable in JKR's story...even Grawp has some major significance).
I'm further surprised that there has thus far been no pics yet *gasp*. Usually you have fans sitting in trees trying to snap them up =P Dare I say that they are keeping a very close lid on the filming this time? I mean, there hasn't even been a hint at its main location.

I loke OOTP as a book too, it does develop many characters. But I disliked Umbridge and what she got away with. She should have nbeen seen as being punished.

Sorry, don't know if this has been posted, I can't read all the pages .... but .. I might be wrong got a lot on my mind at the mo .... but Grawp doesn't feature till the 6th book. Hagrid went off to do work for the order, which was reformed at the end of OoTP after Voldermort had returned. Thats why he was late back in book 6 cause he was bringing Grawp back with him. I can't figure out why they would add a story line when they have to cut out so much!!

I actually agree with dan on this one. I loved the fifth book because everything seems to come together and the characters have finally lost all their innocence and naivety when it comes to the real world. I am soo excited to see the Ministrty scene and I can't wait for Order to come out.

I can't wait for the 5th movie. I hope to see a lot of the special tutoring session with Snape that held my interest so captivated in the books. As my name denotes I am a big fan of Severus Snape and I hope that in the end Snape is good in some compacity. I hope that they also do the Weasley twins justice in the elaborate departure from Hogwarts. It distresses me greatly that Winky was not in the 4th movie but I wonder if she will be seen later on. Looks like my thoughts have run away with me so, so long.

It's odd to hear that Daniel has spoken openly about what his favorite books of the series are. It just doesn't seem like it would be done especially as it's pointed out that he went against the grain so to speak. but it's nice knowing that he's been reading the books and has come to his own conclusions about his character. I hope that he includes some of his own interpretations into his acting.
And I wish the trio the best of luck on their exams. It must be difficult to have to study while working on such a big movie.
