Harry Potter actors Julie Walters
and Rupert Grint’s film Driving Lessons will be one of the many movies showed at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The festival runs from April 5th through May 7th and will showcase over 250 movies from around the world.
The synopsis of the film reads:
Ben (Rupert Grint) is a shy teenager living in London and trying to escape from the clutches of his religious mother (Laura Linney). He finally gets his chance when he meets a retired actress who whisks him off to Edinburgh, where he learns to drive, dance, and pick up girls. Brock's loosely autobiographical coming-of-age tale is a heartwarming treat.
The movie will be showing on April 30th, May 1st and May 6th, with tickets costing $12 each. Please go here to book your tickets or to read additional information about the festival.

$12 a ticket isn't bad for an indy festival, guys. Don't judge if you don't know what you're talking about. The festivals promote a whole different atmosphere and they're wicked fun. Also, indy movies don't make money anywhere else, so that's why the tickets cost more. The actors and producers and directors and everybody make less money off the movie. Hopefully the movie will be coming out on DVD? We'll see.

AAAARGH I wish I could go to it! I'll be in school, unfortunately.... is there any chance that it will come out on video in the future? I never know with the smaller, independent films... of course, it has some very big names! I'll keep my fingers crossed...

AH DARN! i would so love to go see that but traveling from Minnesota to new york to see one movie is just a little more than i can afford! if i lived in new york maybe i would definately go....... if i had 12$. my movie theater costs like 4$ for a ticket! and i thought that was expensive! o well have fun people who are going to see it!
