We have been getting numerous emails that the release date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been announced as July 13, 2007.
Dark Horizons
and BoxOffice Mojo have both published July 13, 2007 as the release date. Please note that Warner Bros. has made no official announcement, so please treat this as a rumor till confirmed.
Recently Harry Potter producer, David Heyman, said that he didn't know the release date but that it could either be the summer or winter of 2007.
Thanks to everyone who emailed.
Update: It would seem that many entertainment sites, including Rope of Silcon are jumping on the bandwagon and announcing the release date for Order of the Phoenix as July 13, 2007. Again, we are still awaiting confirmation about this and will be sure to let you know once we have found out anything.

Yeah, I won't believe it until it's confirmed...and even then...There's just no way they can garuantee everything will work out so that that date can be confirmed this far ahead of time. It's fun to speculate, but I wouldn't believe them saying definitively that the last book will be out on 7/7/07 either until much closer to the date (Although I think behind the scenes that would be what they would aim for, of course if that was true I'm not sure they'd risk putting both book and movie out the same week)

Well, that is probably a fair estimate. I mean for Goblet of Fire, they filmed for 11 or 12 months, and then it wasnt finished for 6 months, with all the editing and special effects. They started filming in February, so filming will last until probably February of 2007, and then 6 months would be August 2007. So, I imagine it will be kind of pushing it to get it out for summer. But... I cant wait!!! I know it will be awesome, because each movie has been better then last.

Hee hee, imagine both book and movie come out the same month...Potter mania with a massive BANG. It'll see off the conclusion to the series nicely I think.

Cool! That's quite soon. Just another year and a few months will be all it takes. I think I will be able to wait that long. However, I hope the movie will come before Book 7, because I want to read the entire series first before continuing on with the movie versions.
