We have been getting numerous emails that the release date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been announced as July 13, 2007.
Dark Horizons
and BoxOffice Mojo have both published July 13, 2007 as the release date. Please note that Warner Bros. has made no official announcement, so please treat this as a rumor till confirmed.
Recently Harry Potter producer, David Heyman, said that he didn't know the release date but that it could either be the summer or winter of 2007.
Thanks to everyone who emailed.
Update: It would seem that many entertainment sites, including Rope of Silcon are jumping on the bandwagon and announcing the release date for Order of the Phoenix as July 13, 2007. Again, we are still awaiting confirmation about this and will be sure to let you know once we have found out anything.

Ehhh...I doubt they really know yet. I mean, that is way too far in the future for them to have a set date. My guess is that it'll be around then, maybe a little later, but probably not that exact date...

I cant wait. Sooner the better. I dont see how they are going to fit everything in. They are going to have to cut a lot out of the book which will lose all of its magic. I think they should do two seperate movies for this book because it is so large. Anyone agree?

Its all speculation though, because nothing is really confirmed.

I don't think it would be a good idea to release it next July, since that is the rumored date of the seventh book release. It just wouldn't make sense from a financial perspective to do it at the same time.
