We have been getting numerous emails that the release date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has been announced as July 13, 2007.
Dark Horizons
and BoxOffice Mojo have both published July 13, 2007 as the release date. Please note that Warner Bros. has made no official announcement, so please treat this as a rumor till confirmed.
Recently Harry Potter producer, David Heyman, said that he didn't know the release date but that it could either be the summer or winter of 2007.
Thanks to everyone who emailed.
Update: It would seem that many entertainment sites, including Rope of Silcon are jumping on the bandwagon and announcing the release date for Order of the Phoenix as July 13, 2007. Again, we are still awaiting confirmation about this and will be sure to let you know once we have found out anything.

That's way soon. I hope that's when it comes, but they can't predict a release date only a month or two into filming. An approximate season, surely, but not like a day! It's totally unrealistic. I wish it could be that soon, though. But I'm willing to wait for a well done movie rather than a thrown together one released sooner.

I cant wait until OotP comes out.It is one of my favorite books of all time.I hope it comes out Summer of next year because I dont think I would be able to wait that long.Hopefully the book can come out before the release of the movie.I also hope that in the movie they dont rewrite things that are cpmpletely different than in the book.Can't wait.

I realize it's a rumor, and please- don't rush! Take your time, as much as I want the movies and the last book, to be out, I don't want all the HP stuff to be over. So if movie 5 doesn't come out until 2009, I'd be okay with that. Good things come to those who wait....and all that. The anticipation, and the wondering.....is half the fun.

No way!!! I do not believe it..... I am under the belief that the book will release on July 7, 2007 or 7th book on 7/7/7. There is no way the movie will wait that long. Expect that it will release for the holidays or for spring movie releases. The summer is just too far away for it to open. I hope the 7th book comes out first but i doubt it. Lets imagine that they will finish filling this summer and then two or three months post production. I see it will release much sooner then July 2007. I can tell you the book and the movie will be months apart.
I say this as someone who works in the entertainment industry. Take it for what you will. Book 7 on the 7th day of the 7th month of 7 year of the millinum and the movie will be out before March.

Okay! I take back the movie date. I made a call and filming will not be over in time for a winter release but still spring could happen. Not likely so it is either MArch or Winter.
I hate the wait.... I want to cry..... Just let the last book came out.... JK's door is supposed to open.. I hope she says the book is close to finish and she is going to editing.....
